Adventures with Linux in the Caribbean (Banking etc.)

The speaker worked for 6 years on the tiny Caribbean island of Grenada, running the IT department of the Grenada branch of a Trinidad-headquartered bank. During that time, he had the opportunity to demonstrate the power of Linux to solve day-to-day banking and general business problems, and to provide real efficiency improvements. This talk will provide some information about the environment and summarize what was achieved, as well as touching briefly on some of the open source components used.
