LPI Exams at the CLT
Founded in Canada in 1999, the LPI organisation has set itself the task of offering internationally recognised qualification standards for Linux and free software. The exams can be taken at various trade fairs and congresses, including the Chemnitz Linux Days for many years.
We are delighted that this year's CLT Sunday will once again offer the opportunity to acquire the recognised certificates of the Linux Professional Institute and thus have your Linux skills confirmed.
The two levels of the LPIC-1: Linux Administrator and LPIC-2: Linux Engineer certificates are offered, as well as the LPI-300 Mixed: Environment, LPI-303: Security, LPI-305: Virtualisation and Containerization and LPI-306: High Availability and Storage Clusters from LPIC-3: Linux Enterprise Professional. The LPI 701: DevOps Tools Engineer and LPI 702: BSD Specialist exams from the Open Technology Certification Track can also be taken. From the Essentials Track, the exams LPI 010 Linux Essentials, LPI 020 Security Essentials, LPI 030: Web Development Essential and LPI 050: Open Source Essentials are in the programme. Most of the exams can be taken in both German and English. More detailed information is available on enrolment.
DevOps Tools Engineer 2.0 Beta Exams
There will also be a world premiere at the Chemnitz Linux Days: The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is offering a beta version of its new DevOps Tools Engineer 2.0 exam. Anyone wishing to take the exam at the event can do so for 25 Euros. LPI members can take the exam free of charge.
The exams will take place on Sunday, 23 March 2025 at 10:30 and 13:30. Meeting point for all participants is 30 minutes before the start in the examination room. As in previous years, the exams will not be held directly in the event building, but in the neighbouring Weinhold Building in room C25.012.
If you are interested in taking one of the certificate exams, you can find more information about the offer, registration and contact details for open questions on our LPI page.
