This presentation will give the origins, growth, and market adoption of BigBlueButton, the world's open source virtual classroom. Beginning in 2008, the project's growth was organic. Since 2020, the growth has been exponential. We'll touch on the architecture of BigBlueButton (it runs on Linux of course), our integration with learning management systems, and success of organizations around the world using it for online teaching. We'll also talk briefly about the road map ahead for the project.
