Chemnitzer Linux-Tag - Chemnitz Linux Day
The Chemnitz Linux Day is a mix between a conference and an exposition.
The first Linux Day in Chemnitz took place in 1999 as a one day event with some
lectures around an Install-Party.
The success was overwhelming with more than 700 guests and about 60 new Linux installations.
So we extended the event to two days and added more lectures, special
presentations and finally even workshops.
With more than 50 lectures and 7 workshops, the 4th Chemnitz Linux-Day 2002
attracted over 1500 guests from German speaking countries.
The primary language at the conference is German, even though most speakers
and many of the guests speak and understand English.
All of our guests so far were able to understand German, so we did not see the
need for a second language.
However, if German is a problem for you and you should decide against attending
the event for that reason then please do let us know about this.
Who knows - the next Chemnitz Linux Day might then have some talks in other
languages...
