Icinga is an enterprise grade open source monitoring system and Nagios fork with scalable and extensible monitoring, notification and reporting.

This talk will introduce Icinga's technical foundations and share our latest technology preview, Icinga 2 – a Nagios core rewrite. It will explain how Icinga 2’s new component loader design and check execution model will make it more efficient, scalable and easier to configure in large environments.

We'll demonstrate the new web interface with integrated reports and signpost future plans for the project.
